Report Details
Fished out Prairie Knights this past weekend.  We did catch our fish on crank bait we fished next to the tree line just to the east of the dock. We caught Big Fish an when we went in the middle of the trees we had better luck.  My daughter did get the fish of the day in our boat 7lbs she out fished me that is ok as long as she comes along that beats her at home watching TV.  We caught 7 eyes, 6 white bass, an about 7 pike,  we never kept the hammer handle pike but the kids were having fun an that is what it's all about....We could have put 20 fish in the boat but their going to have to make the livewells bigger to keep the eyes we caught we had more than enough fish....average was about 3lbs........ don't like to keep the big ones but that was our first fish an to put that back I think would have broke her heart she's only 10....  Sounds like fishing is good from Fort Rice down to Pollock.  Talk to some others that were shore fishing at Fort Yates south an their catching fish also....I thinks the thing that took me by supprise was that the area that were full of weeds I was thinking snag big time.  Guys you'll be supprised we lost a few plugs (4) but not the bad for 2 days of fishing in the trees..  Good Luck an keep up the great reports.
