Where are the blue gills biting or even the walleye?????

|
Lake Metigoshe - Monday, December 26, 2005
Ice is solid but the fishing is fairly slow, especially for the blue gills. They are still being productive for northern's using smelt and tip-ups. Those that are using minnows are seeing good action on small walleye's and perch. Once there are reports on big blue gills I will let everybody know. Joe - Four Seasons

Lake Metigoshe - Monday, December 12, 2005
Warm weather this week is showing some open water, proceed with caution, cool weather coming should make again for solid ice, fishing had been good on Metigoshe, will have wax worms in this week and still have lots of minnows, big northerns still hitting smelt, blue gills still haven't heated up yet, hopefully soon.

Joe;I never heard of selling wax worms stored w/water in the container. I picked up some last week at your store, hard to keep in your pocket w/ the water. Just my opinion, but sawdust is the way to go. Anyway thanks for the report.
I'll be out there tomorrow, hopefully can get some of that action. |

Just wanted to let everybody know that the ice on Metigoshe is 10" solid and the northerns are biting real good, had 2 pigs brought in 44" and 42" 25 and 23 lbs caught on tip-ups with smelt. they are also doing well on walleye's using live minnows and the blue gills are starting to bite too near bear island, also heard the perch were biting good on Long lake too, nice 10 -12" perch.
