Bite is poor at best.  Cold has shut off fish.  Time is better spent elsewhere.

Fished in 8 to 10 FOW on Suday afternoon near Masonic Island.  Had moderate action most of the time using minnows and jigs.  Caught and released 8 northerns (all under 20"), 2 eyes (under 11") and 2 perch (under 7").   Missed a few bites but I had fun and the jerky was good.  Much better afternoon than watching the Vikings.

Fished evening to 6 p.m.  Wind picked up and snow.  One hit while jigging, lost nice walleye on way through hole.  Starting to slow down, was catching around 15 a night, now very slow, time to move to deeper location once we get snow!

Fished in 8 FOW on a great dropoff (on the very top edge of the drop) and saw a few eyes in the camera but the northerns were the only fish biting.  Caught and released 5 in the 12-25 inch range.  Hooked 1 walleye @ 11" long and released. Very nice day but fish weren't munching.  Still very nice to be able to fish out of a solid sided house again as the last 2 winters have been dangerous on the Dead Sea and the house stayed home.  (so did I for the most part)  We pulled the house out with the ATV, which worked just fine.  GREAT ice conditions!!  RodNReel

Got walleyes in the 14" range in 9 FOW with pink/white gemini jig.  Also got a 30" Northern that tore up everything.  That's why I had to quit.  Had a ball.  Only got 4 walleye on Saturday at Devils Lake.  Saved a ton of money on gas.  RodNReel

My wife and I caught 12 walleyes in the 12 to 15 inch range over the past two Sundays -- nice fat fish. Vertical jigging using pink/white 1/8 oz. jigs with minnows along weed edges in 10 FOW.  Lots of perch and northerns as well.  My wife also landed an 11 inch bluegill  -- took a couple of pictures and released it.  Great weather and little boating activity.

Trolled east side along the weeds sounds unusual but used bottom bouncers with cheetos, just murdered the walleye. Trolling speed was around 1.5mph. Buddy of mine told me the trick, didnt think it would work, boy was I wrong. Biggest fish was 22" around 4 lbs. Limited out in a little over an hour. Tried for some pike didnt have much luck after we got our eyes. Did catch a few small bluegill.
