Lake LaMoure - Saturday, July 31, 2010

Report Details
Went out today with the family, we trolled pretty much the entire south end of the lake.  We stuck around the 15 to 20 feet of water mark.  Only caught one small walleye and one decent sized bullhead (didn't keep).  Using bottom bouncers with 24" and 36" spinners of different colors, tried nightcrawlers, minnows, and leaches.  Not very familiar with this lake (3rd time fishing on it), couldn't tell anyone if I was aproching this lake the right way or not.

Willhehn,

I fish Lamoure on a regular basis and over the past few years it has really developed a challenging walleye bite!  I've had the best luck fishing jigs tipped with minnows on a vertical presentation.  Move slow with little movement right on the bottom.  Its a real soft bite so give them time. They don't seem to be at any certain depth, you'll find them anywhere from 5-25 FOW. Work the structure and don't be afraid to look shallow.
