I am interested as well. I have yet to pull an eye over 12 inches out of Darling. Making me a little frustrated.

try around the spillway boat ramp. 10 fow, find some rocks. I've always done well there chasing walleyes. Not sure I would drive on it though with the flow out of there, drag a portable out.

There is a reason there is a boom in perch.  We had less predators in the previous couple years.  It is changing now with the resurgence in pike and also the stocking and natural reproduction of walleyes.

Only time out on Darling we caught five walleyes.  One iced that was a solid 16" and another lost at the hole which was another keeper.  The other three were the prototypical last couple year walleyes in Darling.  She will need a couple years to get back to what it once was.  Now it is the years of perch.

Yeah but I haven't jumped on yet.  Haven't even went up after perch (a focused trip).  I suppose I'll miss it all together again like I did the last time perch were plentiful.

Man I wish I could use a snowmobile up there.

just went up today and kept an easy limit by noon (threw maybe 50 7" to 9" back)

Let me know if shallow works for the walleyes, I'm still to pre-occupied with the perch to take the time.
