Lake Darling - Monday, February 28, 2011

Report Details
went out yesterday. fished from 9am to 7pm. caught about 75 perch only 35 keepers 2 northern from 3-4lbs, 15 walleye 2 were keepers one 19inch and one 16inch. was using minnows on genz worms and teardrops. seemed to like the glowing ones. my girlfriend wanted to try gummyworms so i let her put one on and she caught alot of fish on it. she caught the 19in walleye on it and the 3lb northern on it. and plenty of keeper perch with it too. that made me laugh. the walleye she caught fell off rite at the hole so i reached in and grabbed it before it swam back in. the 4lb northern managed to tangle all of our lines. when i pulled it up all the lines came with it. damn slough sharks. anyway it was the best day fishing in a long time. it was her 3rd time icefishing so she had fun too.

we were north about 2and a 1/2 miles of landing 3 on the east side of the lake. its really rough but it was still thick. the snow that is still on the ice is very hard. u can drive over it. just gotta be carefull. my girlfriend said she saw a little bit of water after we drove over one spot. kinda scary.
