Went out from 2-7 off landing 3. Access was good stuck to the trail went about a mile north tried some deeper water today with no luck, 3 average perch 1 small walleye. Seen lots of perch and pike on the camera. Very slow day compared to the last couple weeks, usually been catching my fish from around 7am to 10:30am just off landing 3. Usually been picking up 15-20 10"+ perch and countless little 7-8" walleyes.

I was planning on going fishing off of landing #3 tomorrow and was wondering how people are getting out there and how far out you need to go to catch perch? Can you drive a 4 wheel drive truck out and back without getting stuck? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

hey trophy seeker if you caught two sixteen inch perch i want to be the first to congratulate you on youre new north dakota state records,  you should probably weigh them a day apart so that you can get in the record book twice. a sixteen inch perch full of eggs would be  a little shy of four pounds, you wouldnt have to worry about that record being broken for a long time.   however judging by youre screen name you knew this already and probably have done all of the above already.

fished landing three yesterday and today  .yesterday  the bites were alittle slow to start.picked up a couple nice perch nothing huge  think i took home five.had a few really small walleye  after the perch stopped biting, then the notherns came through fast and furious i had 3o lb fireline on one pole didnt stand a chance actually snapped the line so hard i got a few water dropps on my glasses. but it was exciting to have that happen.didnt think there would be very much of a night bite ,but i was wrong i ended up with three nice walleyes one was 25 inches about three and ahalf that one was alittle skinny for his size the other two right around 19-21 inches were smaller but alot more meatier dont know why? used darters ( fire tiger ,grey dace, red dace, and the pink -blue- white -multi colored rattling flyer)  today different story   got there about the same time fire tigers to start day just didnt work today, went to the white and orange darter, and the roach colored darter and they worked alot better.kept fifteen perch today real nice size two were 16 inches the rest were 12-14 inch range still all great size perch.caught five small walleye  the only big one of the day i watched spit the hook out half way up from the bottom.and didnt have a single northern swim by or nothing today.was going to stay to see if therew was a night bite but had to go to minot and get somethings before  the stores closed so had to end early but had fun today again!

Perch fishing has been good.  Can bet on bringing home 12+ perch.  Best times are around 12 noon.  Tried to fish for eyes in the late afternoon and evening with no success.

Fished off landing 3 in 14 ft of water with the kids and it was a great day.  We managed our limits and I ended up throwing 20 fish back while waiting for them to finish up their limits.  Most of the fish were caught on green or chartruse jigs with small minniows.  We also caught a 20 inch pike and 12 small walleyes.  Unfortuntaely we had to keep one small eye that swallowed the hook.  The best day out I have had in years and best 5 and 8 year old fishing buddys a person could have.

Link below is of kids and our fish.

A lot of snow out there I would not venture far from the landing with out chains.

went out for alittle while today north of landing 3 ,3miles up. jigged the firetiger chubby darters and perch really hit those hard did matter if i had a live minnow or not.kept nine, 9- 11 inch perch . only walleye  of the day wasnt hooked good and spit the hook out and managed to get down the hole. had two northerns on at the same time .never had that happen before  at first i thought it tangled onto the other line until i decided to reel the one up and see and the first northern swam up the hole and on the ice he was only a 3 pounder and then i felt the other one tugging on the other pole so i knew i had two on that one ended up being 2 lbs.
