Drove out on Darling on Saturday evening. Drove north and fished in 10-12 fow, marked a ton of fish but not much biting. This was pretty much straight west of the pig farm. Caught 6 walleyes, 13 perch only one was decent enough to keep. Ended up leaving with nothing in the bucket. Biggest eye was maybe 11 inches if that.

Anyone been on the ice since the blizzard this week?  I might go on Monday or Tuesday but I'm wondering whether or not the truck will go swimming?

Fished yesterday and did pretty well. Two of us kept 31 perch over 9 inches and one 20 inch walleye.  The ice is looking bad in the bay and near the east shore, truck starting to sink down when driving thru areas.  Also the landing 3 access is getting ready to break up.  About 8 to 10 inches of water where ice meets landing and it is looking pretty rotten.  By the weekend we may be accesing the lake with foot traffic if the weather continues to stay warm.  Good luck and be safe.

Did anyone fish today? If so what was the access on to the ice like with the warm weather. I am taking my son up there tomorrow.   We fished Sunday and did pretty well about 3 miles north of landing 3.  The bite was slow but we caught really nice size perch.  They seem to eat stickle back heads better than regular.  Good thing becase that is pretty much what we got for minnows this week.  Any info about the ice today would be great.

fished darling today from 3-7 pm. Ended up with 27 perch between 10 and 14 inches, and two walleyes 14 inches. Lost two pig perch at the hole, saw a northern quite frequently on the camera, couldn't catch him, but he wasn't harassing the perch, so they were still biting. Hot action on anything that glows.

Caught alot of 6 inch walleye and 7 inch perch North of landing 3. My brother lost my new rod and reel down the hole.  If you catch the fish that took it, you can have the rod and reel but I would like the hook back.

Taking the good bad.  Well the day went well, I managed a limit of 9+ inch pech.  Had to with stand the cold and keep moving every half hour or so to stay on the bigger fish. North of landing 3 with a small green jigs worked best in 12.5 ft of water.

The only bad part of the day was when I hooked  a fish and my cell phone went down the hole.  I guess I needed a new one any how.  So if any one ever pulls up a big pike with a cell phone in it shoot me a message and I will describe it.  If othing else maybe it can be my beacon to attract fish.   Any how it was a good day on the ice.

went out yesterday. fished from 9am to 7pm. caught about 75 perch only 35 keepers 2 northern from 3-4lbs, 15 walleye 2 were keepers one 19inch and one 16inch. was using minnows on genz worms and teardrops. seemed to like the glowing ones. my girlfriend wanted to try gummyworms so i let her put one on and she caught alot of fish on it. she caught the 19in walleye on it and the 3lb northern on it. and plenty of keeper perch with it too. that made me laugh. the walleye she caught fell off rite at the hole so i reached in and grabbed it before it swam back in. the 4lb northern managed to tangle all of our lines. when i pulled it up all the lines came with it. damn slough sharks. anyway it was the best day fishing in a long time. it was her 3rd time icefishing so she had fun too.

Fished off landing 3 on Sunday in 10-12 FOW and got skunked for the first time this year!  Plenty of fish on the camera, just couldn't get them to bite.  It was frustrating watching them on the camera, but not catching them.  I jigged, tried different colors, and different lures to no avail..  There were quite a few people out, I hope they had better luck.

Just drove over the Grano bridge on Friday.  We were looking to go drive on the ice to go fishing on saturday but when we went over the bridge we noticed a large patch up open water under the bridge And to the south about 15 yards. this mainly due to canada increaseing the flow up north to prevent flooding. so watch out driving around grano.
