Grano Crossing - Sunday, May 29, 2011
I went out to grano bridge and I had a great day. I was killing the walleye...around 20 and 4 northern! However...most of them were 12 inches or below so I only manage to keep 3. And I wasnt even using "grano green"...
The northerns were biting real good too. Overall had a good day, one of the better ones I have had at Grano. Also the bridge is closed from both sides. You can still access the bridge to fish, you just have to walk about 100 yards or so. I dont think you can even get your boat in either. |

Grano Crossing - Saturday, May 28, 2011
Went to Grano today with daughter, caught 4 northern, kept 2. 4 & 5 lbs/26-28 inches. Bridge is closed to vehicle traffice due to the water taking a chunk out of the road. Anyone can walk the 1/8 of a mile to the bridge. A few others out there catching northerns like crazy. Water 2-4 feet from most of the road. |

Grano Crossing - Thursday, May 19, 2011
Nephew and I made the trip to Grano again tonight. Water temps were up 10 degrees from last week topping out at 62. The majority temps were in the 60-61 range however. Water was also up about 1 to 1 1/2 ft from last Thursday. I hope they don't decide to stock any pike in this lake as they seem to be the majority of fish right now. Cranking depths ranged from 5-10 ft. Total for the evening was 7 pike and 1 small walleye. Water is stll very stained. Guys fishing on bridge had good luck with pike also.

Greene Crossing - Monday, May 16, 2011
Went out to Greene for a bit today...only landed 2 Northerns. Im shocked that I even caught anything with the way the wind was blowing. The water is at normal levels up there, well at least from what I remember. You can walk out on the fishing outlet with no problems and walk under bridge if you want. I decided to hit grano up for an hour before I left...skunked, but one gentleman up there caught a good sized walleye and about 4 Northerns, pretty good considering how windy it was up there. I used jighead and minnow. I also tried leech/minnow on a lindy floating rig with no success.

Lake Darling - Thursday, May 12, 2011
Decided to run up to Grano quick tonight to check things out. Water is still pretty dirty and only 52 degrees. Tried a bunch of different locations and only managed 2 pike about 2 lbs each. Current through bridge pretty strong. Water clarity less than a foot.

Lake Darling - Saturday, May 7, 2011
The derby was slow, not sure how many fish were caught. I know the pike first place was 9# 15oz with three pike.
Walleye was just over 9# with 4 walleyes. some teams got 5 walleyes but not the size the first place guys got. don't know about the perch. |
