Lake Darling - Friday, November 4, 2011
Fished from shore again on Friday evening at Grano crossing. Caught 12 walleye in about 2 hours. Caught a 23 inch and two 18 inch walleye among the 12 fish. The remaining fish ranged in the 12 to 14 inches. Released all of them so they could continue to grow. The fish were biting short throughout the night so you had to feed them line to make sure they would get the hook. First 3 bites ended up with nothing but a shredded minnow from the dorsel fin back to the tail. Fished a lindy rig with a colored hook tipped with a minnow.

Grano Crossing - Friday, August 12, 2011
Hammered the EYE's 1 mile North of the Grano bridge. Used a purple spinner with crawler. Nice nice nice nice NICE! Fish. Caught a fair share of pike. Got bit off about 3 times. Bring plenty of bait. I ran out of crawlers and had to use 3inch gulp minnows. Didn't seem to matter. They were on a mission and that mission led them to my cleaning table. Boom! Boom! Boom!

Grano Crossing - Friday, July 22, 2011
Fished Grano Crossing from the shore tonight before the storm started moving in. The action started with the very first cast and continued pretty steady until I left 1 1/2 hours later. Despite a couple of inconsiderate boaters who kept encroaching on the area I was casting to, it was a good night. Ended up with a limit that included a 22 inch and a 25 inch walleye. Threw several small walleye back. I had one other really nice fish break off before I could get the net under him. I guess that is the chance you take when you fish alone. A live bait presentation on a lindy rig (about 3 foot snell) and colored hook was the ticket tonight. Saw several northerns caught on artificial baits. None for me and I'm thankful.

Greene Crossing - Sunday, July 17, 2011
put the boat in a green after the storms on sunday. didnt have any luck by the tresel but pick up one keeper walleye around 18" and released five from 7" -15" in front of the bridge. was pretty hot for the first five drifts but think i found them to late. ended as quik as it started. used a lindey with bottom bouncer tiped with a crawler. tryed pulling shads after that and just got small pike. over all i thought it was pretty desent considering it was after a storm and hot as heck

Grano Crossing - Monday, July 18, 2011
Took my daughter and visiting mother to Grano today and it was HOTT for Northerns. We caught 10 and kept 7. 22-28.5 inches in length and the largest weighed 5lbs. My mother has not fished in 15 yrs and caught 4 out of the 10!! She had a wonderful time and loved the fight of the Great Northern Pike! We used black & white/red & white/yellow 5 of diamond spoons all morning long.
