I was out at the lake this weekend and the ice had pulled away from the shore line by our cabin about 10yds or so. I threw a good sized rock out onto the ice and it did not go through but i did not try to walk on it. I think you probably can but your going to need hip boots to get out to the ice i think,. The ice had that greyish blue color to it that it usually gets a few days before it breaks up and goes out. I have a feeling that after this weekend the ice will be out.

Re:It sounds like you have easy access to the lake. I live in Fargo now but i'm origanally from Minot. I'm planning on fishing Ashtabula as soon as the ice is out. Need some where close to Fargo in N.D. to bring the boat I bought this winter.I'd apreciate it if you could put a post up as soon as the lake is free of ice. |
