Lake Ashtabula - Monday, March 15, 2010

Went out to the lake on Saturday afternoon.   Was going to try fishing but there is 12 in of water on the lake so did not even attempt.  Talked to two guys fishing at the crossing and the were marking fish but no fish in the bucket.  I guess its good to know that they were at least marking fish with the water levels where they are.  Judging by the water marks on the bridge the water level is about 8-9ft down from summer pool levels.  I can walk out about 200yds in front of the cabin before i get to water so it is down quite a ways.  Well i think its safe to say the winter fishing is over.  Better luck next year hopefully we dont get the snow like we have the past 2 yrs.
