to put it mildly, it sucked. east crossing, just out from the beach with minnows, 4 lines.

Went out for a all day adventure to the old Bula. Set up in 25 feet of water on the channel with the portable. I spread the tip ups out from 14ft to 20ft on a large sand flat next to the channel. Fished till noon before I caught a 15 inch smallie out of the house setting in 25ft. No bites on the tip ups until 12:30. Fish starting tripping flags about every 15 minutes with two flurries of bites in the afternoon. Walleyes were small with 10 fish measuring out at 13 inches. Caught about 10 perch from 9 to 12.5 inches. Had a small flurry of walleyes come through right at dusk but the afternoon bite was better. Now for all of you wondering how much ice there is; 9 1/2 inches of solid ice. There are some nice pressure ridges all ready. |

Went out on saturday morning for a while. windy as hell. was across the lake from the crossing. about 4.5 inches of really good ice there. only fished about 1.5 hours as every time i stood up my house wanted to take off across the lake. caught one perch was all. cant wait to get the big house out.

drove by the lake on friday while out hunting. stopped by the crossing and there was 1.5 inches of ice. crystal clear perfect ice. will be going out with the portable over thanksgiving. cant wait. hope we get no snow this year so we have a long ice season that we can actually use.

Went out of Sundstroms this morning and had a wonderful day on the lake. Perch where very active taking both night crawlers and minnows in all depths. We pulled bottom bouncers with chartruse spinner blades. Kept a dozen over 11"
Walleye action was on minnows and spinners water depth was consistant in the 26-30' range in the channel. Did not have much luck other than on white bass with cranks today. Kept 4 over 15" released two over 22"! Pike action was slow on cranks as well! Other boats we talked with where fishing shallower and getting perch and some white bass. |

went to the crossing, trolled and got 7 perch up to 11 inches, 5 crappie between 9 and 12 inches, 4 bullheads up to 13 inches, 1 white bass, and one 20 inch northern. kept all but the northern, too small. the perch came on grasshoppers just out from the beach, the crappie came on minnows in the NE corner of the enbankment, and the bullheads came from all over, all but one on minnows, and one on a frog. tried going on the south side of the bridge, but the waves were to bad.

Trolled for a couple hours today. Was windy but we found a place with very few waves. Caught a 3.5 lb Northern on a Rapala jointed minnow, and caught 1 walleye and 3 perch on a spinner and crawler.

went to the dam for the first time and had a hard time finding the ramp, and when we did find it, it was crouded, one guy almost lost a finger that got trapped between a truck and a boat trailer. over all it was slow, we kept 2 white bass, one was 16 inches, 1 small eye, one 9 inch perch, and ONE bullhead. who the #@%! do you catch those on this lake? we also found a few nice sm bass in 2 feet of water, 1 was 13 inches. lots of floating weeds that drifted away from shore.

After the rain we got up north this morning you will have better luck catching floating docks and lifts. its going to get ugly for those who dont pull there lifts and docks out by tonight.

fished all weekend - walleye were slow but big 5 between 22 to 27 inches with 10 -12 inchers mixed in silver with crawlers and cranks also; was buleye free till sun. afternoon! 14 fow seemed best
