Jiffy Propane Auger

From what I hear Jiffy is coming out with a propane powered, 4-stroke ice auger. What does everyone think? The advantages I see are no gas smell on hands, in ice house, or in pickup/suburban, and no mixing of gas/oil. I'll be sticking with my 2hp Jiffy, just wanted to hear what everyone thinks...

I love the smell of 2-cycle exhaust.  Luveyes can attest this.  Wanna trade motors?  We need to make a 2-cycle exhaust scented perfume.  It would sell the crap out of all those other scents.  Then no man could say no, no matter how swamphogish she was.

I'll stick with my elecric auger for in the ice house. All I need is to haul around more propane bottles in the winter. I think the propane powered augers wouldn't have nearly the power as the 2 stroke, but maybe??

I'd like to give the auger a try.  I love my 2hp stealth and see no reason to trade.  It runs good and it eats ice.

I would be greatly upset if the Captain purchased this...nothing compares to the smell of firing up the auger....Jiffy propane will not get my vote for approval.

I can see a person having a bunch of half empty bottles of propane on extremely cold days, those days when propane doesn't flow well, unless that just happens to my bottles......

Auggie was arrested this summer sniffing my old EFI in an alley in Devils Lake..... trial pending.  My boat felt very violated.  He said he couldnt live without the exhaust smell until the winter.

I wonder if they would make the same torque, or if there would be flow issues in the extreme cold, but a great concept...

YES, I am that foolish!
