Jiffy Parts

Where can I get parts for a Jiffy ice auger? I need the gears/Clutch? Is there a place online for a reasonable price? What site?

I thought this might have been something started by one of Jiffy's ex-girlfriends. Damn!

I think you can call Feldman Engineering (jiffy augers) in Wisconsin and they will send you what you need.

I think you can get parts at Gooseneck Implement in MInot. I have a friend that got a new carb put on his there.

What model and how old? If it's an old JIffy 30-32 and you're looking for the springs for the clutch, you are probably f'd. They don't manufacture that clutch (or parts) anymore. You'll have to plunk down $35 for the new clutch asembly, which does fit the older models.

Slightly off topic, is there lube of any kind in the case, my model thirty (new in 91) still runs great and cuts great. I have never understood all the talk about sharpening. Maybe I just don't fish enough, yah that's it.
now someone agree so I can conivince the wife!!

A while back I went through my Jiffy 30 from top to bottom. When I replaced the grease I called Feldmans customer service because I didn't want to replace the original grease with something that would freeze or slow down the auger performance. There customer service rep told me any lithium general purpose grease would work fine.

Eye_butcher,

A recent study at the University of North Dakota shows that a lack of hole drilling with any auger will lengthen the life of your blade. This is not a good think by any means. It can result in heckleing by buddies or worse lost contact with them all together. I has been proven that dull blades not only improve freezer space consumption, but also a mans all around performance!

wink, wink....was that thick enough to convince the wife?

Beer consuumption with buddies will diminish with a non-functionong auger - This is a proven fact !!!
