Jamestown Reservior - Sunday, June 21, 2009 | |
fished north of 5 mile corner and caught 9 walleyes 4 keepers and 2 jumbo perch. lost several on spinners and crawlers. not a bad day alot of boats out. the jet skiers were a real pain at the dock area with many boats waiting it get in and out. something should be done about that. it has became the new beach recreation area which causes a lot of problem when unloading and loading boats.

Eye's are still biting on the Res. I spoken with both shore fisherman and boat fiserman and the 16-18 eyes are plentiful. east side just north of five-mile, pelican point are two of the hotter spots right now. I alomost want to pull the boat off the lift and run over there for a day....we'll see

Fished Buchanan Bridge at the north end of Jamestown Reservoir from shore today. Did not catch any but saw lots of decent Walleyes taken by fishermen on the bridge decking as well as several boats anchored just below the bridge. Most of the actiion was coming on floating jigs with leeches plus lead head jigs with leeches. Best of luck!

I was wondering if anybody has been out lately and if so what was the fishing like and how much water was on the ice. Has anybody got into the walleye's this year where I fish I normally do good on walleye and normally end up with a few perch but this year have ended up with more perch and hardly any walleye. Are they relating to a different depth or maybe a different location. But I normally fish on the chanel edge in 16ft.

today the beach area has been cleared and tomorrow the roads will be plowed on the ice for every one to get around. I understand that you better have your ticket because they are all gone and I have a feeling that there will be a turn out that you can't believe because guys like you need to get out and finds a fish before the year is over????? seriously thou I am proud to be a part of the 1ST annual tournament and hope everyone that has a ticket out of the 2000 sold shows up to show their support to a point where the only think we can do is do it again with 4000 tickets next year, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE AND YES YOU HAVE TO DRIVE ON AT SMOKIES BECAUSE THE OTHER RAMPS ARE PLUGGED.

Went just south of the boat access on the west side of the res tonight. From bout 4:30 to 6:30 in 20 fow and didn't even get a bite. We had to pull the portable out there cuz the access had two feet of snow on it. Has anybody else even tried fishing out there and is anyone having better luck than me. Don't even think it's worth going out to the fishing tourney!!!
