i am coming to jamestown over new years weekend which lake would be better to try pipestem or the Jamestown Reservior ? any info would be nice , i would like to target perch and walleye!

Fishing was ok in early morning and late evening for a few eyes. Water getting on ice now, if get lots snow this week like they forcasting might be lots more water coming up. Took permanant off in case. If ya dont have 4 wheel drive dont go on i pulled 2 trucks off with 2 wheel drive.

my portable is toast.sitting by the rocks at old boat club. u want take it. rebuild or scavange parts. baught flip house. ok here is why. it was on the ice b 4 any snow. i put my permanent by it and the water that came up the last 2 times out froze it in and had a heck of a time chippin it out! now woundering how im going to get it off. not puttin the deisel out there.

my permanent house has been out 2 weeks now. 11 inches in the house. but slush 50 feet from house. saw a ram crewcab out on ice ana few others. the guy had 2 kids and a dog with. the ice wasnt cracking it was thundering! if you drive please have the consideration to stay away from the houses so we dont loose our lives too.......................we got a few crapi and a northern. couldnt figure out why the fish would follow but not bite so went to ginz worm and smallest monnow......found out why...they werent walleye they were crapi...be carefull out there.i put my house out with an atv.

Just an FYI on the ice conditions, they have become a bit inconsistent which surprises me a little. Last weekend we went out with snowmobiles from the boat club north and everywhere we checked was a consistent 9.5 inches. Expected today to find at least 12 but NOT the case. Found 12 in one spot, out in the middle, but all along the East shore up to 100 yards out was still only 9.5. Slush in random spots also. Snow wasn't too bad but very slick ice underneath. Posting because a guy drove right down the shoreline we checked with a pick-up on 9 inches of ice. To each his own I guess.

to answer ice thickness......i went to my ice house which was on 3 inches last week and wednesday it was 7 in. at the old boat club. obc

Was wonderin if any measurements were takin by the old boat club area? Mite try to get the permanent out next weekend with these temps. Appreciate any info. i do know they were hammerin em at pelican point last weekend.

couple small ones . found 3 to 6 inches of ice but wet in spots under snow....g n f advises no one on ice. there were 3 other houses out......guess im not the only one whose nuts......try it again in the a.m.
