The ATV will get stuck to easy and with a snowmobile you pretty much have unlimited access. I just thought I would ask since I was mentioning it.

North of Smokey's but not to the bridge... be careful lots of snow and pressure ridges that are hard to see under it. Snowmobiles are sure handy... just have to dress for it.

crockhunter how much snow was on the ice were you were at? Were you fishing way up north by the bridge area. Would be nice if it would warm up for a couple days to settle the snow.

Please exchange numbers so you can take this off the site... start a thread... something.

Fished the res. 12 fow... hits around 4 til 5:30pm on the north portion of the lake.

THey were aggressive, jigging rods caught most of the fish.

Fished Jamestown north of the Island about a half mile on the west side. (don't know the name of the area) We fished from 3-6 in 11 FOW without seeing a fish on the camera or MarCum. Talked to a couple others who were set up deeper (they said 20FOW) with the same results. Walking access only for us but some were able to drive.

I went down there a weekago just to see if anybody was fishing it and there was no sign of anybody fishing it. We fished it many years ago and did good with the crappies but then the next year and did not find them but cought a bunch of little bass. A couple years ago went down there and the perch were biting but they were small and thought about trying it sometime. Tried to get to it yesterday and didn't make it there from the back roads. If you do go down there be carefull of a airiation system I do not know were it is exactly but I do know there is one in there.

It would be nice if the G&F would plow trails out there if they want to see people fishing, but that would make to much sence to use the unused tax money they will just waste it on something else that is not needed. I would help you guys out up there if I had a skid steer with a snow blower on it. But the only things I got is a ATV with a plow and a JD 7400 loader with a blower. ( Ones too useless and other ones too heavy). Ice should be thick enough for a skid steer. I heard some of them only weight 2200 lbs and that was a good sized one too. Well good luck for you guys that are trying to get the houses off. Mine are all at home safe and sound and tucked in the shed for a good while. Hopefully we can fish late in the spring like last year.

Good hopefully more people take their houses off and call it a season. That way give some fish a well deserved break.
