Fished mainly shallow under 10 ft only perch and small eyes. Went out into 19-22ft and found the bigger fish. Biggest was 23" caught 2 limits 17-23". They are out there just need to work for them. Hot pink hooks were the ticket.

Jamestown Reservior - Sunday, August 16, 2009
Was out yesterday, Did very well. Started out a little slow, I wanted to jig but had no success. Put on slow death hook/crawler and little yellow propellers both with red hooks in 6-8 fow trolling at .65mph. We kept 4 eyes between 17-19" and 2 11" perch. Threw back about 15 fish under 14" and released a 26" eye. We were out for about 3 hours.

I was also out on the 8th. I started at the boat club and pulled cranks and got nothing. I then switched to BB and slowdeath hooks w/leaches and caught two within the first 100 yards and misses a few. Both fish were just under 14 inches. When the rain started I pitched jigs and gulp into a foot of water and got a nice 20+ incher. Slow day but great to be out, even in the rain. I am more than likely try again this afternoon. Any FBOers fishing the jmst area and are out and see a red Stratos, thats me, come over and say hi.

Jamestown Reservior - Sunday, June 21, 2009
fished north of 5 mile corner and caught 9 walleyes 4 keepers and 2 jumbo perch. lost several on spinners and crawlers. not a bad day alot of boats out. the jet skiers were a real pain at the dock area with many boats waiting it get in and out. something should be done about that. it has became the new beach recreation area which causes a lot of problem when unloading and loading boats.

Eye's are still biting on the Res. I spoken with both shore fisherman and boat fiserman and the 16-18 eyes are plentiful. east side just north of five-mile, pelican point are two of the hotter spots right now. I alomost want to pull the boat off the lift and run over there for a day....we'll see

Pipestem Lake - Saturday, June 13, 2009
Fished the Pipestem from shore at the boating ramp by parkhurst recreation area, limited out with 3-4 pound walleyes in about an hour and a half. Beautiful fish. I had also recently been down to the buchanan bridge and caught nothing but trash fish.

Jamestown Reservior - Monday, June 8, 2009
The fish have been biting better from boat then shore. Fished down around smokies and boated nice limit of 17-19 inchers in about 2 hours. 2 guys. The bridge area is WAY over rated.

Has anyone been out in a boat on Pipestem? I see there is a dock by the old boat lift as the new one is still under water.

Jamestown Reservior - Saturday, June 6, 2009
Fished Buchanan Bridge at the north end of Jamestown Reservoir from shore today. Did not catch any but saw lots of decent Walleyes taken by fishermen on the bridge decking as well as several boats anchored just below the bridge. Most of the actiion was coming on floating jigs with leeches plus lead head jigs with leeches. Best of luck!
