Going fishing on Jametown Reservoir for the first time. Anybody got any tips for walleye or pike they wouldn't mind sharing. Greatly appreciated...thanks!

Nope, no boat access for Jamestown, still covered with ice. Also, with the inflows the way they are, once the ice goes off and they do put ramps in, it will be very limited just like the last couple years. Water is already as high as last year and still climbing. Many access areas will be under water. The road to the Marina is already closed now.

is the boat access open. im from fargo and have never fished it.. so if anyone has any information on boating out there right now.. and current and water clarity.. andything would be helpful thank you

went fishing at buchanan bridge on 4/18 caught a 12" eye and one at 16" went again on 4/19 and caught about 5 around 12" really light bites could barely tell they were even there was using minnows with slip weights floating jig and plain hook all the fish caught seemed to be males another week or two and i think it'll get good

Went fishing at the Buchanan Bridge tonight for about 3 hours and didn't even have a bite. Saw others catch some carp and a guy catch a big buffalo or drum.

I am just wondering if there is a lot of water still on the ice. The last time i was out bout a month ago there was quite a bit. Just wondering if there still is or if it all froze up. Info is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Hey Jarudy, that was me, no problem on getting that road plowed out. If you were the fella with the 2 little girls i appreciate you comin over and thankin us for the road. We had a pretty good weekend of fihsing where i was, crappie minnows, caught over 30 fish but only 3 keepers. alot of walleyes in the 12 to 13 inch range.

solid 18+ inches of ice, someone was kind enough to plow for access onto the lake by driving. Fished for 3 hours, left at dark not a single bite using waxies in 13-16ft of water. Disappointing day |

How is the access getting around the lake? Is it drivable with a vehicle or do you need a snowmobile? Also wondering how the bite has been, it has been a while since I have been out there. Any info is greatly appreciated.

All People with permanent houses out on the Jmst Res, check your houses late at nite on occasion, the pranksters, an thiefs are busting into houses, to bad you can't catch them in the act.
