It might be time...

It might be time to become a better hunter and fisherman. We all know there has been some wildlife loss this winter and several lakes have seen winterkill (at least partial).  Be happy catching a couple smaller walleyes or maybe a northern or two. Instead of expecting limits of our prefered species always close to home. Maybe applying for a doe tag so you end up with a deer tag at all? 

With a glass half full mentality, it will leave more time to teach the kids about what I have found works and doesn't work, have them teach me what they have learned so far without getting bites and catching fish constantly (not that it always happens). Hell, just getting out and having time to talk to the kids and my hunting and fishing buddies will be reward enough.

It might just be time to be thankful for what we do have instead of pissing and moaning about what we don't...
