Was wondering if it would be worth the $150 to convert my lowrance mark4 to an ice machine. Looking for any input on the grey scale, if it's a positive or negative.

Thanks for any info in advance

Good luck with that question ,  I asked  the same question on here a few weeks ago and it was ignored by everyone too.  I guess if you are trying to conserve $$$ this isn't the place to ask.  I saved the 150 and built an ice float for my boat transducer and it is still working.    Hope that helps

If you like to tinker, I put aligator clips on my existing power cord,   taped a short hunk of foam pipe insulation on the transducer wire with a weighted transducer protector at the bottom.  Worked like a charm.    I was worried the transducer wouldn't hold up but I think they are just as tough as the ice ducers.  The protector keeps it from direct hits when banging around. .

Forgot to mention, Mine is a humminbird 777    It has flasher and multiple other screens.    Doesn't cost more than a buck and a few seconds to hook it up and try.
