The Lindy's rattle. I own both cause the the Chubby's don't rattle like the Lindy's do. I used both today and was watching them on the camera and actions seems about the same.

If you compare the 2 side by side, you will notice some differences in shape.  I have found the Salmos to have a much better action that the lindys.  The lindys(as said above) have a rattle in them, but after watching them on camera, they do not wobble very much on the drop, and don't hang horizontal on the pause.  I wasn't impressed.  I will spend my money on salmos.

What is your favorite salmo chubby darter color?

You have a better eye than I do, I didn't see much difference in the action but maybe I was looking for more of a difference. I know I am yet to catch a fish on the lindy. I know the Chubbys work. I too will stick to buying chubbys until the lindy can prove to me they are worth the 5.99

Either gold/orange, or silver/blue for clear water.  Dirt water, glow red all the way.

Hope to give the Lindy darter a try soon.  Been using the chubby darter with some success.

I will rarely use anything but a #3 chubby darter for walleyes.  I have been experimenting with some of the new colors, but I fall back on Goldfinger and Red Glow.

You will want to use some kind of snap, or if your darter has a split ring you can tie direct to that. You will also want to use a small swivel about 18 up your line or you will get some pretty serious line twist if you do much aggressive jigging.

Don't tip with a minnow head it will kill the natural action these baits have.

Have had some days where nothing will touch the Darter as it hammers the fish, but then have had others where I couldn't buy a fish on them. I think they are ideal for agressively feeding fish.

However, for me, the clown colored Jigging Shad Rap is my go-to swim bait for ice fishing. I tip it with a minnow tail on the back top hook and it's deadly, and, it's nice to finally find something to do with all the "other half" of minnows laying around.

I have to say though, I switch with about 12 things laying on the box constantly, and let the fish decide.

I always use a minnow head on my darters. I have tried without one but never had any luck.

I have never put a minnow on my darter.  I imagine the lindy darter could benefit from one.
It's all in reading your electronics and the fish.

Watch how they react and modify your jigging strokes to suffice.   Make the thing look alive, wounded and trying to escape.

I usually start with a hard 18" rips, then let it settle back to the center of the hole, give it some 1/2" pops, maybe some 3-4" sweeps.  If nothing shows up, another hard rip.

When the fish show up, the fun begins.  Trying to entice each individual fish with a slightly different stroke.  Sometime they just slam it before you have a chance to entice them much, other times it's a 2-3min ordeal.

My favorite closer stroke is this, as the fish shows up on the bottom, slowly raise rod by popping and not letting lure fall(pop, lift, pop, lift) I do this until you are a foot or so above fish, then drop rod tip fast.  Let bait free fall, fish usually meets it half way.
