Ice fIshing Tournaments:
I know many tournaments have already taken place, but there are many still left to take place. I know some tourneys will be held on Lake Darling, Nelson-Carlson, Lake Audubon, Larimore Dam, Van Hook Arm, DVLFD, and what ones do all of you know about? Let us know when and where some are and maybe we can get out there and support the holders of the tournaments.

honkerslayr - do you mean the Bottineau Jaycees tourney?- or do you mean an actual Trap Attact? I know Ice Team canceled all the trap attacks earlier this winter, and heard they were trying to get them going again (under new management/sponsorship - but hadn't heard anything about Metigoshe.

i had heard about trap attack there for the bluegill but i could definetely be wrong, but i just heard something about that from someone. But you corrected me on the jaycees tournament, i made a mistake thats what i meant to say, the annual tournament they have every year. It sure is a fun tournament though

I am in Denver right now. My flight returns to Minneapolis at 4:30P.M on Friday. I'm going to drive all the way back to Bis, and arrive @ 1:00 A.M. Saturday morning. Then, I'm going to take a nap, and enter the Broken Oar tourney Saturday morning @ 8. And I'm going to win because I am the great white fisherman. Anyone think you can out-fish me? Keep in mind the brand new iFinder H20c and the brand new FL20 Ultrapack. Bring it, don't sing it. I can out-fish all of ya even when sleep-deprived. Oh yeah, I just had a couple.

Hey, 2f1bucks, that really motivated me when you replied, "Nobody cares." I took it personally, and promptly went out and won the Broken Oar tournament. I placed 3rd in the largest non-game fish category. I got a 1.22 lb crappie. No one caught a walleye or a northern all day. I got beat out by a 4 lb carp and a 2.something pound bass for 1st and second. All the rest of the prizes were drawn from out tickets due to no 'eyes or 'therns. Lots of cool prizes, but I didn't get drawn. One guy who was fishing next to me had a crappie that was slightly (.2 inches) longer than mine, but mine weighed more. His was 1.16 lbs. When the last, most important prize was drawn, I got drawn for the grand prize, a Marcum VX-1. So, not only did I catch the best fish of the day, I also won the grand prize! Now that's justice! Thanks Broken Oar for a really fun tournament. I had a blast, and would be saying it even if I hadn't won. Sure wish we could fish Marina Bay all winter cuz I'd fish those bruiser crappies a ton. I got 6 all together, and none was less than a pound. Sure wish the Marina Bay association would have let us drive out there, though. I am sore as _ _ _ _ from dragging the house, with a 20lb propane tank, cooler, minnows, and auger out there by foot. So, anyone think I didn't win? Gloat, gloat, gloat. Man that's unattractive to gloat. Can't help it. First tournament ever, ice or soft water. Sleep deprived! Wonder why no one ever catches a shark or an 'eye back there. You know they gotta be there.
