Howa Axiom 22-250, Rem, or any other suggestions?

Looking at a few different types of 22.250's and having a tough decision. Anyone with any info on how these three rate against each other or any other options?

Nothing wrong with the howa they shoot dang good I have two only thing I did was to work the triggers they are a little stiff out of the box for me the Remingtons have better triggers but the old remingtons had better triggers that the new X mark pro triggers but they to can be tuned

I own a axiom 22-250 in a heavy barrel and love it. i set it up with a burris 6.5-20x50 scope and it is a tack driver. The triggers are adjustable if you have any skills at all with a rifle and breaking it down. Step by step instructions can be found on the internet. I own 3 howas and will never own a different brand bolt action rifle again. Now if only they could come out with an AR platform id be set.

Dont mind the camo wrap, I was working on finding the best way to wrap it and this particular time it turned out kinda goofy...

I've never shot one but they seem kind of front heavy to me.

whats the deal with the 250?  I mean I have one and it's ok I guess....it shoots like a SOB but whatever, so do my other rifles.

223 and then a 243 is what I'd do.   If only one it would be the 223 hands down.  If you want a little more arse out of it you can always punch it AI, fast twist and roll with a 75 Amax.....Just say'en

Well,  dad bought be the .22-250 when I was in 3rd grade so that is what I shot and I'm partial to that caliber.   If he would have bought me a .223 then maybe I'd like it more?

Always wanted a 250 for the speed, flat shooting and perfect caliber for the lady when she decides to start shooting. Thought about going with the .223 but imho the 250 is an all around better caliber.

I'll never understand the "flatness" argument but I've already done that one a million times.....I'm bored with it.

223 bounces off antelope and deer for that matter.....

my 250, Rem 700

It shoots ok.....I'd still opt for a 223 if I were you but that's just me.

5 rounds at 100 yards, bipods and rear bag....ect blah, blah, ect.

250 isnt better, its just different. Get a little speed, give up some barrel life. Costs more to shoot and is louder also. I have a buddy that shoots a 220 swift and I hate being near him when we are blasting P-dogs. Damn loud gun hurts my ears, even with plugs in.

The 250 at least bruises them when it bounces off.

I shot my mulie doe last fall with my 223 loaded with 65gr gamekings. It didnt bounce off at all, must have been a defective bullet!

my main usage for it is yotes and p-dogs. The lady is pretty patient and only takes her best shots so if the placment is right there shouldnt be any problem with a 250 bouncing off a whitetail. Have a buddy who has taken many trophey deer with his 250.

Hornady's new 53gn V-max with a BC of .290 is going to be a game changer.  Sierra's 69gn Match King is .296 and pretty much the standard by which .224's are judged.  .290 @ 3300fps-3800+fps will be a big gain over .296 @ 2900-3400fps.

This moment is a paradox, it's the oldest you've ever been as well as the youngest you'll ever be.
