Homme Dam Fishing Reports

1. I know this really goes against what I said in my last post...but....i heard some guys were catching some pretty decent fish out at Homme Dam, so i thought i would go give it a try.  I fished there on the 28th of January.  Fish from about 10am until about 4pm or so.  Fished right on top of the main point on the north side of the dam, basically straight across from the boat ramp.  Ice was in great condition and about 18+ inches thick.  There is about a foot of snow on top.  I fished in about 17-18 FOW, used mainly glow jigs or gold jigs tipped with only half minnows...otherwise the fish just eat the bottom half of the minnow.  I caught about 75 or so perch( maybe 8 keepers) and 6 crappie about 2-4 feet of the bottom( maybe 2 keepers).  I didnt take anything home, just catch a release.  Just another tip if you plan on fishing there, if you fish just east of that main point on the north side, its around 22-25 FOW you will catch more crappie than perch....its the exact opposite if you fish on the west side of the point.

What do you mean by hot?  What are you catching?
