was on the north side the other day. ended up with 15 perch that were around 12"

Drilled holes all over north of interstate today without a bite. Wasn't bad fishing outside until the wind picked up but not even a nibble which surprised us.

i went out on sunday and drilled a few holes in the sub zero temps and set up a house and could not keep a line in the water. lots of small perch ranging from 3- 4 inches that won't stay off the line. i averaged about every 7th to 8th fish brought out was a Jumbo. haven't caught fish from this lake in a number of years. fish ranged from 8-11 inches. finished the day with 20 jumbos. biting on minnows with green flyer jig.

Welcome, Nordstrom. Hobart is/was known for its JUMBO perch. I haven't fished it for two years but some say it is still producing. Give it a try! Either side of the interstate did produce. I would try the north side first just off old highway 10. Good Luck to you!!!

The BITE is on ----- as north as one could get --- 7 inches of ice. JUMBO's mixed in with littlins. I will be posting pics sometime this week.

not quite jumbos but getting close - fish are getting bigger - we went out after work - had to pull the trap on - no driving to much snow. We started in one area - and it was slow then moved more to the middle of the lake. Boom - success success and it was nuts from about 330-430. Between the two of us we probably caught 35 of them. 10-12 inchers. It dont get any better than that.

I live close to hobart and have not seen anyone out this winter. I-94 goes right thru it west of valley City.
