Heisman Trophy finalists

Tim Tebow ,  Colt McCoy,  Mark Ingram, Toby Gerhart and defensive tackle Ndamukong Su were selected.

Ndamukong Su is a one man wrecking crew (defensive tackle) from Nebraska. He had 4 sacks and 12 tackles against Texas. He has been doing this every game. My best guess it that he will go very high in the draft and will be a huge impact player in the NFL.  It would be really nice to have a defensive tackle win the Heisman.

Suh is the best college player imho and probably will be the first pick in the NFL draft.

No doubt I would put Suh at the top of the list.  Nebraska would have been left in the dust against Texas without him.

I agree Suh should be on the top of any teams board going into the draft no matter what their needs are. I really hope he gets a look from the heisman voters, unfortunately I think Ingram probably has the edge.

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

What is a more impressive preformance?    180+ all purpose yards against the #1 ranked team or 12 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks against the #3 team when you are constantly double and or triple teamed?

Even if he doesn't get the HEISMAN he will likely get all the defensive college awards and a huge contract to boot.

12 Tackles and 4 /12 sacks against a team that is just as undefeated as Alabama is far more impressive, I just wish it was that simple when the votes come in.

Did you see the play when Shu throw McCoy down like a rag doll one handed?

imho, the heisman is kind of a joke.   The criteria should be changed to "the best skill player on a top 4 ranked team"

I know Toby Gerhart is kind of an unknown in that bunch of guys....but he is one tought guy.  I watched him play one game and hes like a middle linebacker playing running back. I think either him or Su should iwn but i am guessing Ingram will cause he had a big game to knock off Florida and end there 20 some game winning streak...McCoy and Tebow will not win

Yeah I watched that game vs. Notre Dame. Gerhart is an animal, he was just running over linebackers and corners. By the end of the game they were just giving up cause nobody wanted to tackle him.

I think Ingram will win it because of the popularity of his season, but Gehart and Shu have the best chance in the NFL.

Ingram or McCoy will be the top two.  Suh is an absolute animal, he won't win but hope he makes the final three.  I'd really love to see Gerhart win it, he is a monster too, hope he goes a way in the NFL.

Heisman is a joke really, supposed to be the best guy that year, but so much comes down to it in the end regarding single games.  Suh probably should get it, who else defensively has gotten it since Charles Woodson?

I heard a rumor Obama was getting the Heisman for his comment that a play off system should be used to crown the National Champship.

I hear that...
The best, according to stats, college QB, is kellen Moore out of Boise st, and he isnt even being looked at. He is only a sophmore and will be a front runner next year for sure!
This year, I think Ingram has it. I would be surprised if McCoy or Timmy get it, they both have regressed their performances this yr compared to last.

You can't look at the Heisman candidates and rank them on how good they will be in the NFL and base the winner off that.  It is a college football award only end of discussion.

I agree that the winners nowdays somehow seem to come from top 5 teams but many times you can't dispute the winner.  This year however is tough.  Tebow didn't have a bad year, pretty steady until last game and guess what, got beat by probably future National Champions!!  Toby Gerhart had a phenomenal year and would be a great decision along with Ingram who destroyed Florida.  Colt McCoy has never impressed me much and basically was pouned by Nebraska.  It is tough for a defensive player to win it although Woodson did so but he also played on both sides of the ball at times remember!!

My feel good vote would go to Gerhart who also has the stats to back it up.  But I think you may see Ingram win it and Gerhart/Su come in second and third in the voting followed up with Tebow and McCoy.

I would really like to see someone who isn't a QB win it this year. The last three years have been QB's so it would really be cool if Suh did win it as a defensive lineman.

I think Ingram locked it up with his performance against the gators.  I only saw Suh play one game (Texas) and what a BEAST.  Gearhart had a good year, but I don't think he is flashy enough to take the trophy over Ingram.  I don't think Colt or Tim will be a factor in the voting, I think it will be between Ingram, Gearhart and Suh in that order.  As far as NFL careers, I think Suh and Ingram will have the best shot at big careers with McCoy being decent, I don't think Gearhart or Tebow will have much of an impact in the NFL.  Who knows, it will be interesting to see.
