Went out with Gottabfishin and 1 other buddy of mine. Action was steady. Lots of bites but it was hard to get anything on the hook. I did manage to get 1 whopper bass on the hook. After fighting him on the line for a little while i was able to get his head in the whole and while i kept the tension on the line gottabfishin was able to grab him right as the hook snapped. Never had a hook snap before. Took him in to get weighed and the official weigh in was 5lb 8oz and he was 20.5inches long. 1 nice large mouth. Was very exciting to pull threw the ice.

Fished the canals north of Heckers with no bites for 2 guys. Only out a few hours. Marked 1 northern I could see down the hole. It was cold. Fished 6-12 ft.

6 guys fished Hecker's today and did very poor. Lost a 5-8lb Slimer at the hole, caught another small one, and picked up one 14 inch eye between all the guys. Lots of tip ups out and plenty of jigging with no takers. Rough day but the weather was decent.
