Happy Saturday !!!!

Ok anyone else stuck at work or at home....


 


 


Haven't had one of these in a while....


 


Early Ice or late season turkey and pheasant?


Traditional turkey on T-Day or alternative (smoked, deep fried or other)


After meal…football or nap


Real cranberries or canned


Pumpkin pie or other


Favorite T-day team Detroit or Dallas

No cranberries for this guy. It is a waste of space.
I only eat one kind of pie…

I love T day it is my favorite great food good converstaion with out the expectations of gifts... I have been in the Military in one shape or form since 1997 I have celebrate T dinner in many differenent ways.  Some times with blood family and others with the family I am assigned with at the time. 

It was suppose to be herside this year but I think it is turning into relatives my side this year.  Whatever works as long as there is green bean cassorali and pleanty of dark meat turkey

I use sausage in my stuffing.

I am hosting her family this year, so my birthdaywill be spent cooking like a slave then drinking like a sailor

My Mother in law makes the best stuffing ever it is a sausage wildrice stuffing and I could eat an entire plate of just the stuffing...

yep my Mom's is to die for lots of butter and homemade bread...she makes a very good oyster stuffing as well

nah, I am a tradionalist, just rub down with butter and salt and pepper and stuff its ass hahaha and roast away.  Yeah I get to do all the cooking pretty much, the ol lady is making pies and her mom is bring a side dish or 2, but for the most part it will be a very long day, working till 2am and then go home to prep and start cooking , diner is on the table at 1 sooo this birthday might be eat and sleep hahaha

that sounds good, I just use chunked up bread celery, onion sausage browned off of course. and seasonings. not much else can't think right now too tired. hahaha.

Anyone else ever make stuffing out of old donuts (no icing style)?

A number of years ago a bunch of us students stuck in Grand Forks got together and the guy who was hosting the shindig made stuffing using an ancient cookbook that called for using crumbled donuts instead of bread crumbs.  It was surprisingly delicious.

Morel mushrooms, harvested last May, are the key to good stuffing. And of course the giblets diced up fine and sauted with onion, celery, carrots.... Drool.
