Handgun suggestions?

Other than the ruger sr9, p95 9mm any other suggestions on handguns under $500

there are so many under that price what type of gun are you looking for pocket pistol, compact, full size, poly, metal frame.   used  or new

I paid $600 for my XDm, you should be able to get an XD for $500 or a little under.  But I'd find another $100 and go with the XDm.

+1.  Had a Beretta 92FS.  Fun to shoot, But I can carry my LCP anywhere(well almost anywhere).  Best thing about this gun is you can just put it in a pocket and go.  No bulky feeling anywhere.  Best gun for carrying in my opinion.  If you are buying one just to shoot and have fun with this is probably not your baby.

I bought an XD 9mm for 389 at runnings in october, it didn't come with the paddle holster but had 2 clips and mailed in for 2 extra clips and a mag holder, I shot a buddies xdm 40 liked it and figured i could use a new toy. another one worth checking out is the S&W sve, I fingered one up but haven't shot it but for 320-350 with S&W name on it can't be all to bad if you are on a budget.

I Had a Beretta PX4 Storm in a 9mm. Was an awesome shooting gun. Also had a 17 round clip.

I bought a Kel Tec PF9 for $240 from Kentucky Gun Company.  Had it shipped to Jay's Pawn Shop in Mandan.

I handled a few handguns last night and i really like the xd and really really like the xdm and also like the glock too. With the xd they had i believe a lik 5 1/4 barrell and a 4 something barrell not sure which one would be better.

I have a springfield XD40 and just bought a FnH.  I would buy and FnH...crazy accurate and you can even use it for coyote hunting.  I was hitting a target at 100yds with this pistol.  It shoots a rifled shell with less kick then the XD40.  The XD40 I could hardly hit a coffee can at 40yds.  Get the FnH...you won't be sorry.

The FnH would be an awsome handgun with those loads but that is out of my price range a bit
