Looking for some help deciding what brand of gas grill to buy.  At this point I have been told to go with Weber but they are a little too pricey right now.  Looking for something in the 150 - 220 range maybe.  Was looking at the Aussie brand at Menards and while they look good I am not familiar with this brand.  Anyone have any experience with it?

The more you spend, the longer it last.  You pay more for a Weber, but it will last 3 times longer than a cheap grill.

Weber the Espirit three burner can be had for around 400-500.
Beg borrow or steal the difference you will pay it anyway in another year or so, I did the same thing.
Also the cheaper ones will drive you nuts moving the meat around over the hot spot to cook.
Had a sears model for years but finally lost my patience and bit the bullet.
If you go cheap buy a cover and clean it after every use.

Yeah, we are just getting finished with our first grill which is just a CharBroil we got from Target.  It actually has lasted us about 8 years now so that seems pretty good but I either need to replace the burner, drip guard, etc., etc. or just get a new one.  Thought the Kenmore brand looked OK at Sears but maybe not?

If that's your absolute top-end range, get a Weber Q-grill. It's smaller, and can be used as a table-top. Not as big as your standard grill, but will amaze you on how well it cooks.

I bought one after my dad got one. My dad also has a larger Weber that he hasn't touched for a year now because he likes his Q-grill so much. If you feel you need a bigger grill, then like others have said, save for a bit and buy quality.

Corfit,
A guy I know has an Aussie grill and he said he loves it, cooks evenly and you won't find a better designer in the market. I've eaten different meats off that grill and all were above average at the least.

I agree with the others who have recommended paying a little more for the Weber.  I believe I have a Silver A, which is a two-burner, entry level model, and I paid somewhere in the $300-400 range for it.  I've used it hard for four years, and with regular maintenance, it works like a champ.

I have heard good things about Ducane and Holland grills, but I believe that would put you up to an even higher price point.

You can buy one heck of an Aussie grill for $200, if it last only five years your cost is $40 a year. it will last a lot longer than that and they are just fine for cooking as mentiohed earlier. Lowes, Menards, Walmart all have real nice grill in the $150-$200 range stainless burners, side burner, temp gauge, stainless, Free Assembly at Lowes and Walmart. Call ahead and they will have one ready for you. Like any grill, keep them clean and they will last a long time.

Want something different?  Try this type.  You can't beat cooking over wood.  You can smoke, bake, bbq, or grill with this.  You won't have flare ups either.
