Grano Crossing - Friday, July 1, 2011

Took the chance and drove to Grano, road is open and water levels have dropped about 3-4 feet from originally where they were at before the major flooding began. Fished for Northerns and it was hot. My daughter and I caught 8, kept 5. All were 25-27 inches/3-4lbs. Hitting on smelt and spoons.

Re:I agree, cant see y people wouldnt wanna catch a Northern. I love catching them they put up a great fight
If everyone focused on the important things in life the world would have a shortage of fishing poles.

Re:I was using smelt and red/white spoon along with a solid bright orange spoon. I saw one guy pull up a couple of walleyes from the bridge. Couldn't tell you excatly how big, but I would say around the 12-16 inch range. |
