Sounds like either 4x4 isn't engaged, or, she's got balding tires, or, she's suffering what many have to because for some reason manufacturers have decided we need extra wide tires as OEM and those wide tires won't track worth a damn in slush or heavy snow.

Possible though what happens with the vehicles I've driven with TC is the tranny jumps to a higher gear or they're "de-powered" somehow to really limit "spinning" your wheels.

Traction Control sucks balls when you're stuck.  Some ignorant engineer who's never driven in snow/ice is writing the algorithm for how TC should "help".

Anyone who want to write TC algorithms oughta haveta spend a winter driving in Baudette or the UP of MI.

Yes, learned the hard way to turn off the traction control/vehicle stability control stuff on icy roads.

Likely she needs an alingment, the tires are fighting each other when one grips, it pulls the vehicle that direction, and vice versa. She might need new tires after she gets it alinged.
total cost around $150 or cheaper

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

I'm sticking with "worn tires that are too wide for a small truck to begin with" as the major culprit with alignment and TC being possible secondary contributers.

The tahoe I had was a wheel track dancing POS, Must of been the wider tires and such, but it bounced between wheel tracks just a s mentoined above. I think it could also be due to the shortness of it.
