Looking for pros and cons of this brand of truck topper. I am looking at buying a used one and was just wondering your opinion. I know there are other brands out there that are very good but tend to be a bit pricey. It is for a 2000 ford F-150 if that helps any. Thanks for any iformation you can give.

I have had mine on my pickup for 8 years. I have had no problems with it. I did notice this winter that the shocks that hold it open were getting weak. I bought mine used and everything works just fine and it is holding up well.

I've had mine for about 6yrs.  No major issues.   The glass in the back door shattered for no apparent reason.   Cheap fix.   The locks must have dust covers or they will be worthless in no time.

I replaced the gas shocks on my 7 year old topper from the internet for cheap.  Takes about 2 minutes per set.

yeah,  I replaced the gas shocks once.  Easy and cheap fix.   The finish on mine has stood up well.

I've had the same one since around '98.  Put one on a '95 Silverado. When I traded that pickup  in they didn't seem to want or give me anything for that topper so I had them repaint it to match the '03 I bought.  I put it on the '03 Silverado and am still happy with it.  Only replaced the door shocks the one time since I've had it.   I would buy another.

The topper I am using, started on my 99 Chevy extended cab and I now have it on a 2009 extended.  Topper dealer said it didn't fit, but my chevy dealer and I measured and put it on the 09.  The side on the newer models does have a flare, but you can hardly notice the straight line of the older topper.  Pickup dealers have no demand for toppers and thus no trade-in.  Mine continues to work well.

Love my 5yo Glasstite Raven topper.  The shocks recently went out.  Do you have a link where you ordered your replacement shocks from?  Thanks

Most auto parts stores carry them. I got mine at Fleet Farm in Fargo. Just need to measure them extended as that is how they are sold.
