Buddy and i went down to tailrace.. kept 7 walleyes and 1 sauger.. for every eater you would catch 15 little ones.. seen some catfish caught as well..

Re:the depth doesn't matter in the tailrace it's all pretty much the same, just keep moving around till you find em. the schools are always moving.
I had the same luck, fifteen 8 to 10 inch fish for every 17" that was caught. we caught 30 or so fish, just released em all since we didn't feel like cleaning anything. There's no such thing as a "trash fish"
