fished garrison bay yesterday, used crawlers in flooded grass areas from shore drug back on lindys and jigs. red or orange hooks & jigs. keeping the bait moving seemed to catch more walleyes and dead sticks caught everything else...I mean everything. carp, pike, smallys, white bass, goldeyes, suckers, perch, catfish, drum, etc.
ended up with a limit of 20" walleyes |

shorefished with the kids at Ft. Stevenson saturday. Used nightcrawlers on lindys, bobbers, and jigs. fished flooded grass areas. managed to reel in 5 20" walleyes, missed quite a few others at shore since the little ones aren't real good at setting hooks yet. also caught several drum, catfish, smallmouth bass, goldeyes, lots of perch (some 8 to 9"), carp, white suckers. |

the ice conditions at government bay are the best they have been all year two feet of hard stuff and growing fishing is very slow though. There is a huge pressure ridge off point that has opened up keeping people from going around the point.

Went out of Govt Bay and fished some of the smaller bays a ways off. Caught one nice walleye in 17', one about 4" long, and had a ton a little 4" perch bites in around 10' of water. Fished mostly near the flooded trees. And caught the usual stupid shiners in 30'. Wind wasn't strong but made trolling a little more difficult.

fished out of lake sakakawea state park wednesday. Limited out on walleyes. all 19-22 inches, nothing smaller or bigger. they all came from different spots. I also caught some nice small mouth, a white bass I should have weghted & the normal garbage. Caught the majority on jigs & crawlers from 2 feet to 18 feet. caught 2 using slip bobber. I also caught 2 smallmouth & 1 walleye casting a jig into shallow water with slow retrieve. I seen a man at the cleaning station with a salmon that must have weighted 15 to 20 lbs. It was a very healthy fat fish. the fish are finding something to eat in the lake. I hope this is a sigh of things to come.
