Good fishing last weekend out of Indian Hills running west and trolling cranks in 30-45' feet of water.  Caught fish on FireLine, but lead core was a little bit better overall for numbers.  Mostly nice eater sized fish, with an occasional picture fish and lots of pike.  Looks like its going to be a good fall on the big lake.

Tough day on the east end yesterday.  Tried east and as far west as Douglass and got 2 little eyes with a smattering of smallmouth and a few pike.  I tried variety of depths but just couldn't get a pattern going. Read more

Went out today and found fish in 14 feet of water that bit on lindys and crawlers, then changed tactics and went deep. Fish were 33 to 36 feet still on lindys and crawlers.. Took 5 nice walleye deep in about 45 minutes. They're still here and still hungry. All had smelt or other baitfish sticking out of their mouths and were still biting.Read more

Went out to Battleship island and Skunk Creek and all areas around there.
fishing was very slow caught a few Bass in 15 fow pulling spinners.
2 Walleye all day with little success on much of anything else.
Looks like west end has slowed down to a crawl, or my skills suck.Read more

The big fish have found another place to live or else they have been all caught.  In three days never boated a big walleye. Nothing over 20 inches and Friday and Sat. lots of small fish.  We kept 15 on Friday and threw back around 30 fish and Sat. only kept 10 and threw back about 20,  Fished for about 5 hours a day early morning.  Lindy's crawlers and Gold and Silver spinners produced most...Read more

Fished out of Indian Hills on Saturday the 13th. Didnt have much time on the water so we weren't able to explore much. Started out on the north shore and picked up two small eyes and a few northerns. Headed to the south shore and found a little more action. All pretty small fish ranging from 12 to 17 ". Our boat ended up keeping 15 so it wasn't a bad day. Most the fish came on crawlers in 8...Read more

Has been pretty good fishing.  Fish size is getting tougher to come by as the bigger fish are leaving shallower water to seek out better forage.  There definitely are areas producing bigger fish but it isn't everywhere on the lake by any means.

For me over the 4th I didn't put the boat on plane for three days straight.  Idled out of boat dock putting down the cranks at the same time. ...Read more

Went to IH this last weekend and did really well on walleyes 14"-17" range. Started out fast and furious in 8-12 feet of water Saturday morning. Using live bait rigs with crawlers and leeches. Didnt have any minnows so no report if they were working or not. Speeds ranged from .8 to 1.2 until the wind picked up enough where we could just make drifts. Worked out nice but no large fish came of...Read more

I met a friend of mine from the western part of the state and we went in at Beaver Bay west of Beulah Bay and worked west along the south side.  C
Partner caught a 5.5 lber right away and then the rest of the day tough!  We did clean 6 fish for our efforts at the end of the day but we worked for them hard.  Jigs, bottom bouncers and spinners baited with crawlers is what worked

Last two days, have done well both days.  Most action came from jig and crawler in 8-12 feet.  Also caught a few deeper.  Kept some nice eaters for the pan, and released a bunch of other fish.Read more

The fishing the past few days has been pretty dang good for numbers!  Bigger fish(22-25in) are a little bit more scattered now but they can be found with a little effort!  They have been in depths from 4-22 feet!  Lindy's have been the best with crawlers, leeches, and minnows all having their time to shine!  It just depends on the day.  The fish have also been going good on cranks in 8-12...Read more

Very slow bite. Lindys, spinners, jigs, trolled very very slow was our method. Ended with a few fish but nothing close to a limit. The flys were out in numbers though. They weren't the brightest bulbs in the pack considering you could step on them. Read more
