Fished the east end last Friday for first time this year.  Fished from 20-32 FOW with the house in 24 feet.  Slow until 5:00 then caught 6.   5 of the 6 were caught on jigging spoon.   14-16" fish.  Went back on Sunday with some friends and bite was slower.  Only got 5 total for all of us.   Ice was 22" thick where I was at.    Good luck out there and post some reports.   Read more

Went out of Lunds Sunday to enjoy the nice weather and was not disappointed.  Kept five walleye.  Caught two buffalo carp each over twenty pounds on a perch crank bait.  That was kind of surprising.  Plenty of northern and white bass to keep anyone busy.Read more

Went out to Douglas Bay today and fished for a few hours.  Fished 25-45 FOW looking for walleyes.  Had a few bites and lost one at the boat, but otherwise a very slow day.  We used spinners and jigged.  It got pretty windy and it got hard to move around.  Looking forward to ice fishing.

Also, I launched from Church of the Cross and left my IPad on the back of my truck.  If anyone see's...Read more

I fished west on Sunday out of Indian Hills Resort and had a good day pulling cranks for walleyes over smelt in 40-60 FOW. Some nice eaters and a couple of "picture fish", along with several pike. Big RR's on boards or Flicker Minnows and RR's on leadcore worked best for me.  Miles of smelt in this area of the lake right now.

Fishing out of IH Sunday the 10th. Didnt get on the water until 1 but still managed some fish. In 3 hours we kept 6 fish ranging from 15 to 20 inches. Let go several small ones mixed in with some smallmouths. Only bait we had was crawlers so couldnt say what else was working. Using a typical lindy rig setup pulling at speeds of 1.4 to 1.8 in depths anywhere from 16 to 30 FOW. ...Read more

Walleyes were more active this weekend by the embankment. Using spinners, both minnows and crawlers caught the same amount. Found a hole about 23 feet deep and just trolled between two 15 feet deep hills, at about 1mph, for 4 hours, before everyone limited out.

Fished the big water yesterday.  The wind made it a real challenge but the fish were bighting.  back trolled into the waves with a tiller. Caught fish in 20 feet out to 30 feet, didn't seem to matter as long as you were in that range.  Crawlers on bottom bouncers seemed to work best with a few fish caught on leeches.  Very aggressive bite. No minnow bite.  We were soaked head to toe but we got...Read more
