game and fish app?

would you be interested in a game and fish app? if so what would you like to see on it?

i was thinking if it was a $1.00 app that you bought new every year it would substitute for the paper you could buy all of the stamps except the duck stamp (federal) on it ans it would all be there with you, and could be backed up on your pc.   it would not change anything really just make it more convienient.

it could also have all of the proclimations accessable from the app.

anybody else think this is a good idea? it would save the G&F money and i think it would be very convienient and helpfull.

I already download my license to my phone as a PDF file. I can bring it to the screen with a free PDF viewer app.    Wardens will accept it too.  I asked.

I already buy all my licenses but my deer tag and duck stamp online. And just have em on my phone. Haven't had an actual printout in years. In fact, the digital version of the duck stamp is available online via a couple other states like mn and that purchase is valid for use in nd. But, I didn't know that until I had already bought mine this year. I suppose an app would make it even more convenient. But, until they get one, just giving u a heads up that u can already do all of that on your phone already.

South Dakota already has an app.  It is pretty handy has all the regulations on it plus you can use the public land maps and use your phones gps to do live tracking on the maps while out in the field.  and it is FREE.  Go to your store and put SDGFP and you can download it to take a look at it.

I look forward to the day when I don't "need" a smart phone.

That being said, are you guys signing a printed copy and scanning it in, or just having the image/pdf that you can download from the NDGF?

I was under the impression that the licenses aren't valid until signed, hence there's a potential problem for just having the downloaded version on you.  Maybe the NDGF realizes the times are a changing and the laws just haven't kept up but this would have me a bit concerned.

Having a signed version is doable too.  All you need to do is print a copy, then you sign it.  After that put is on a scanner and scan it in to your home computer as a PDF file.  Then send it to your phone.  A little extra bother but workable.  OR just carry a proper id to prove it's yours.
