We buy them but are paying $2.00 trapped on the carcass.  The market looks like it will be swamped with them this year there are Rats, everywhere.  We are looking for coyotes as well if they are not blown apart.

Thanks

Jeff

Sorry I forgot to mention on the coyotes.

XL-L  (36+" from the nose to the base of the tail) are at $25 on the carcass, minus damage, fur quality, and imperfections.

Sm-M  (36-" from the nose to the base of the tail) are at $20 on the carcass, minus damage, fur quality, and imperfections.

We prefer head shots if possible and if they are shotgunned they aren't worth much.

Good luck and good hunting.

Ive been getting more for my shotgunned coyotes compared to rifle "holed" coyotoes. A few pellets or bb's compared to a hole the size of a baseball.... and yet you are paying less for shotgun ones? I guess it just depends on the fur buyer?? Preference?

I know it's out of the way but may be worth the drive depending on how many you have to sell. My son just sold them at $4.50 straight across at Hansen's in Minot. Whole not skinned. They were all large rats. The guy tells me he is buying 600-800 a week, which is easy to believe if you stop in the place. Small rats go for $2.00 a piece. Yote prices are comparable to what was quoted above. Good luck

I haven't sold any this year but always got more for the shotgunned ones as well (when size and quality were the same)

Its terrible you guys are "stealing " rats.   $5/ rat on the carcass is the going price.  No wonder everyone thinks most fur buyers are crooks!!

No ones forcing you to sell. You don't like the price don't sell. Pretty simple.
