Froelich Dam - Sunday, June 14, 2009

Took the kids on their 1st boat trip and was just hoping to get into some good pike action.  Water is nice and high and clarity isn't too bad.  Tried trolling around with cranks and spinnerbaits but had very little action.  Got several strikes by casting a spinnerbait into the shallows but only was able to keep one 3 pounder on.  Couple other boats on the water but couldn't tell how they were doing.  Has anyone been fishing this place and having any kind of luck?  This lake was awesome around 1997 - 2003 or so.  Probably could still have some fun with the pike if a guy wanted too but I am not sure about any of the other species.
