I wonder what the prairie dogs think of the fraking.  Animals seem to feel more earth activity than humans.   alot of detectors pick up the fraking.   I am wondering if the dogs come out of the dens when fraking occurs.

What detectors are you speaking of ?   If they noticed anything at all  It would be from the trucks on the surface.

I wonder if he's talking about those geo-phones that they use for seismic work.
They used them on a well I know of all around to get an better idea of what happened during their fracking.

There are seismic instruments put in by companies, such as Whiting, to monitor the frac'ing process.  This way they have a reasonably well documented piece of evidence as to the effectiveness of the frac job(s).  It has helped them understand the effective radius of influence on a given well and can be used in the future to provide the basis for determining if (and how many stages) of frac might revive a well once production has fallen off.

Yep, The Geo-phones are planted at 300 feet otherwise they pick up surface noise. My point to marksman was that fracking would not affect prairie dogs from the depths but they might get a little noise and dust from the traffic.

I might be talking out of the wrong hole here... but don't you think that if they are frackin at 10,000 feet down and picking it up with their sensors at 300 feet, that their could still be a little bit left by the time it gets to the surface? Just enough for the prairie dogs to feel?

Nope       There is a lot more  noise a few feet down from a small car at an idle than there is from fracking at 10,000 feet
