I have not looked this season.  When I purchased my set last year,  Frabill offered two different types.  The " ice suit " and, the " sno suit ".  The ice suit is the lighter weight one and the sno suit is is the heavier weight one.  The ICE SUIT is an exemplary piece of outerwear.  The SNO SUIT is PAR EXCELLENCE!!.  Prior to my purchse I assesed all of them.  I judged the "ICE SUIT",  the "SNO SUIT",  the "ACTIC ARMOUR" (blue and grey color, grey is the heavier weight one in that brand if I recollect correctly).  I also checked out the Vexillar branded one.  The Vexillar one (I don't know which model, or even if they have different models), was the lighest weight one.  And it was a beauty.  Then the ARCTIC ARMOUR.  The light weight  ARCTIC ARMOUR was much better built then the Vexillar suit I assessed.  And the heavier weight ARCTIC ARRMOUR was better yet.  The ICE SUIT is three notches better then both of those.  600 denier cordura (if I rember right) construction on the wear areas.  Then there is the grand champ, A-#1, absolute top dog, SWEETEST piece of outerwear you can buy-----the mighty SNO SUIT.  I TOTALLY LOVE THIS SUIT.  From the the awsomely built, built in gaitors at the boots,  to the waterproof breathable membrane throughout.  To the SWEET AS HELL construction of the arm attachment to the coat (best range of motion of all time, of any coat I own),  to the 1000 denier cordura on the wear areas, to the quadruple tripe awesome knee pads.  BUY THIS ONE. It is heavier gague construction then the others, and super, super, super awesome.  Make sure and pair it with some polypropolene undergarments.  I'm a fat sweat hog.  Polypropolene undergarments will wick moisture away, whilst retaining their insulating properties.  I need to stop now for a brew.

Thanks for the info, I settled in the frabill ice suit but after looking at the size chart I sent them an email and they quickly replied telling me that since I'm 6'5" I'm basically SOL on the frabills. The search continues.

I have used nearly all of them over the years.  Here is my assessment.  The Vexilar suit is a great suit for the money and they stand up to a lot of abuse.

Last year I got a Frabill Suit which is the an awesome suit because it is built to move with you and stay comfortable.  It is also designed to keep you warm.  In my case almost too warm with my layers inside.  To give it a test I wore it on a -2 day and fished outside for four hours.  (little wind) after the four hours I had to leave, not because I was cold but because my reels were froze up.  It passed the test.

This year I recently purchased (have not used yet) the new Frabill Suit.  It fits like the Ice suit but is much lighter for the person who prefers to layer up.  I think this will be a much better fit with me.  I also bought the Wind Proof Fleece to go with it as one of the layers.  I have been wearing the fleece and I think it will make a nice match to this suit.

Since frabil, vex, clam, arctic armor, basically told me that since I'm over a certain height I was basically out of luck I was a bit bummed. I was in Scheels in Bismarck yesterday and was looking at some portables and low and behold right behind was Scheels Outfitters bibs and coats in tall sizes! I'm glad to have them on order right now I hope they do the job of course but for now I'm just very happy to at least have the option. Dont get me wrong I like my old carharts but other than keeping a guy warm ice fishing isn't their designed use.

I love my Carharts, but they get wet and turn into hard shells like a turtle from the knees down after some drilling/kneeeling  - which can actually be quite nice in certain conditions. I always wondered why Carhart didn't get into the game by putting some Goretex under their canvas - with just a touch of wax on the canvas like Filson's. I suppose wax and Goretex don't mix.
