Fishing The Trees

KickemUp84 Joined: 03/10/2009 Location: ND	I'll be heading to Devils Lake on the 12-14. Just wondering if the walleyes sit in the trees gettin ready for the spawn. Or do they sit deep till after ice out.

Auggie1415 Joined: 09/13/2005 Location: ND	Through the ice I setup a few tip ups and drill a number of extra holes. I then hole hop the extras. Buckshot rattle spoons and Chubby Darters do well. They are in the trees pretty much all year. After/during spawn I'd stick to the windy sandy/rocky shorelines.
