The Captain and I are headed to warmer climate next month and wondering if anyone has fished in Mexico before. We are staying in the Puerto Vallarta area. We had an amazing time fishing in Belize and are looking for the same experience! If you have any tips or suggestions, I would appreciate it!

Start a dramine regiment. My trip in Mazatlan was cut rather short cuz someone couldn't handle the waves and started puking uncontrollably.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -Edmund Burke

"The time at which I stand before you is full of interest. The eyes of all nations are fixed on our Republic. The event of the existing crisis will be decisive in the opinion of mankind of the practicability of our federal system of government. Great is the stake placed in our hands; great is the responsibility which must rest upon the people of the United States. Let us realize the importance of the attitude in which we stand before the world. Let us exercise forbearance and firmness. Let us extricate our country from the dangers which surround it and learn wisdom from the lessons they inculcate."

I fished out of Puerto Vallarta a few years ago.  Caught a Sailfish and Bull Dorado.  I can't remember the boat but there were several.  I will see if I can get the information for you.  definately a good time.

West coast of Mexico has better fishing than the Caribbean side, though the Caribbean side has way better scuba diving.   Water's warmer - more coral.

i went fishing in cancun 2 winters ago. i agree on the dramamine. We caught some baracudas, but i also yacked more times in four hours than i did my freshman college year. i would try it again, but definately be taking something before going out.  there were six of us on that boat, and every one of us got sick.

Bad decisions make great stories!

The wife and I went January last year out of Puerto with 3 other couples. I think it broke down to $200 per couple for a 10 hour trip, plus another $50 for the beer and food. We caught sting rays, grouper, parrot fish, bull head (not at all like the ones caught in fresh water), and bump heads.
The fishing was great with everyone in the boat catching at least a couple fish. When we were done they cleaned up all the grouper that we caught and the hotel cooked it for us the next night.
We stayed at the rio jalisco and they booked the trip for us at the service desk. Highly recommend it. Best fishing trip yet.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

No problem, and no my wife would kick my butt if I put her picture up, not that she isnt worthy and as attractive she is just a bit more modest, at least in public....haha
