This lake is in bad shape, folks. It's been so hot lately it's making the aquatic plants take over, the algae bloom and the trout die. Saw about 10 good size trout belly-up near the dock and in the flats last weekend. Nice day on the water, tho. Pulled in a couple of decent smallies on surface poppers in the flats. Even saw a friendly crappie (came right up to the boat) in the cove. Pulled some deep-diving cranks in the deeps near the dam to no avail. I hope this lake survives the summer.....|R|
