moos-03 there is not suppose to be pike in fish creek,you need to report this to the fish&game,thats not a good fish for that lake,it wont take long and there wont be and trout,in that lake!!How big was it moos??thanks for the report.

Yeah I would clean the female trout. I would save the eggs in a glad lock bag and freeze them and then when i go out i keep them froze and slice what i need in bis 1/2 chucks and boy do they love that they think its spring in the creek. Colored marshmellow work too.let me no how this woeks for u topuretodie..

Tim, Isnt what the fish are biting on considered part of a report? When I go to a bait shop and ask for a report, that happens to be one of the things I like to find out.

when i go out there i usally use frozen minnows and i do relly well cause according to the game and fish that if you freeze your minnows and you can prove that they are dead it is alright.

What do you think would be some good choices for artificial baits out there? I just want to try something new, instead of using wax worms ect.

Rapala, I would say the average size in their is 1.5-2 lbs for the rainbows, I have caught some around the 3 lb mark as well. The brown trout however are usually in the 3lb range. You'll know when you get one of those on, they smoke the line right out hehe, just like a northern. If you get lucky to find some crappies in there they are usually over a pound. BigBuckGod, Fish Creek is mainly trout, if you get really lucky you can catch crappies, you may also catch some bass. For trout, just use a smaller jig head tipped with a waxworm. If you go out there I recomend you fish by the dam, I've always caught trout over there in about 20 feet of water. I was out there over christmas break and fished a back bay and didn't have any luck, but never made it over to the dam area. Good Luck.
