Went fishing yesterday and you have to fish 10 to 15 yards out off the shore were the ridge is good by the boat ramp and by the dam on the south side!

fished with wax worms at all depths...only had a couple little hits...others fishing with worms in 8-14ft had better luck.
Beware of some open spots by shore!!! |

only had a couple of free hours but went out 12/24 from 9 am-11 am. Had a few bites but missed setting the hook on them. brought a decent rainbow to the surface but it fell off. used wax worms but was pretty slow going. Ice was like glass. could see the jig under the ice. even had a rainbow chase the lure to the surface and i could see him swim off near the top. fairly new to ice fishing and gotta say that was pretty cool to see the fish swim under your feet.

Got to the lake a little before ten. Drilled some holes sat for about 45 mins. No bite, only a flash on the Vex. Moved around a bit drilled 10 more holes over a half hour didnt' see anything again. Went away from everyone else found some good structure and on the 2nd hole beautiful Brownie. Drop the Pimple down again. 3.5lb rainbow. Me and the partner set up there fisshed that for another 4.5 hours and couldn't keep the lures down. Non stop action. When all was said and done we pulled 30ish fish out of the hole. Fished in about 16 ft of water. Used spoons, jigs, darter and all produced fish. Swedish Pimple was my fave of day. Tipped with grubs mostly. An amazing day to be out fishing. Lots more people than normal at little Fish Creek.

Got out again and fished a couple hours. Bite was a little slower this time but it was a great day to be out. Ice was 7.5" thick. We were able to bring home 2 nice trout and missed a couple. The fish seemed to be about 1-3 feet off the bottom.

Caught 7 nice trout on pieces of night crawlers - the fish seemed to be off the bottom by 2 ft.

Got out for the first time this year and fished a few hours. Bite was pretty steady for the 3 hours we fished. brought home 2 rainbows but there was alot that got away. ice condition was good with about 4.5 inches of clear ice. all in all great to get on the ice for the first time. |

Drove over there Tuesday to see how the access was....You cannot get to either access with a vehicle....One house out and he parked on top and drug his house down.....Snowmobile only from what I seen Tues.

got out about 10 and fished for a few hours. ice was 5-6". fished in 10ft and caught 2 nice rainbows. seen alot of fish come right up to the line and swim right past. all in all still a good time for the first time out on the ice.

Went out to Fish Creek on Sunday 11/8/09 caught 8 rainbow trout on fly rod. the trout were all nice size and healthy. One rainbow was 21 inches and all the rest were between 16 and 18 inches......had a blast!

Damn WINDY today, But it was the first time ive ever pulled a bass thru the ice!! A few of them, in about 32 ft of water!! couldn't believe it!! and of coarse some nice rainbows! but not that deep!! FLAG UP!!
