The 4 yaks went on their first run of the year, well actually 3 of us today Sally had to work.  We made the run from 1804 down to the Sak on the white earth creek.  It was about a 7 or 8 mile trip. Beautiful weather except for the wind that blew 30 - 40mph.  It probably helped more than it hurt since we were headed south.  The run off has started dropping already so next weekend will be the last run unless it rains.  some fun runs of class 1 and 2 rapids but some of them closer to the lake were hard on the but bouncing over the rocks.  Saw 8 snapping turtles at least the size of a steering wheel and 1 twice that size, a few small northerns running the eddies about 6 miles up from the lake but no large females yet.  Lots of canadians and ducks, a couple of beavers that nearly hit the yaks as they dove from the bank.  A very nice 3 hr run.

Great run 4Yaks.  Got my kayaks wet but not on any rivers yet.  Just my pond out front!   Amazing the "rapids" this time of year in creeks.  Places you probably would have to drag the kayak over next month!
